Chesapeake Bay Cruising and Conservation-May Social
May 20, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pmFree
Cruising the Chesapeake is a discovery of nature, history and aquatic life.
With more than 3,000 miles of shoreline, the Chesapeake Bay offers a treasury of cruising spots. From 4 star restaurants to secluded anchorages you share only with a family of eagles, is why it is considered a premier cruising destination. And it is all right here in our backyard.
At our May Social cruising hot spots is our focus.
We will sharing the secret anchorages, best bay bars, and tons of local knowledge by people that have spent a lifetime on the bay. Most of which are within a short cruise of Annapolis. With all of the creeks on and around the Severn River you really don’t need to go far. We plan to break out the charts and cruising guides to show you exactly where we go. We might even get Kevin to reveal his secret anchorage in Round Bay. Hopefully you will have some spots to share that we were unaware of. We recommend Chesapeake Bay Magazine’s cruising guide for a good reference.
In addition to enjoying the bay as avid boaters, we strive to preserve the bay for future generations.
As we all know conservation is something we can all contribute to. In an effort to increase awareness about how we can all help, we have a speaker from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation join us. With a mission a simple as “save the bay”, we are certain they can give us some insight into the bays challenges and how we can contribute to the long life of the bay.
So register now for a couple boat drinks and some lively discussion on how to enjoy and preserve the bay.
There is no cost for this event and our socials painkillers are becoming the talk of the town. What’s not to love? See you there.
